Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa
Blue Palace is a state-of-the-art 5-star hotel built in Elounda, Crete, directly opposite the island of Spinalonga. One of the most iconic luxury hotel construction projects in Crete, Blue Palace was designed and built amphitheatrically so that all 251 villas and suites have a direct view of Spinalonga — a concept that defined the entire architectural approach of the project.
The hotel is divided into two sections. The upper part contains the main volume of buildings and communal spaces, while the lower section sits on the seafront and includes the thalassotherapy spa centre and several restaurants. The two sections are connected via a telepherique, which passes beneath the local Elounda–Plaka road.
As the construction company in Crete responsible for this project, our office at Zervos Consulting Engineers undertook all necessary building permits in Crete, the complete structural analysis and design, and the full supervision of construction works on site. The excellent cooperation between our office and Blue Palace Hotel throughout the entire project, across all services provided, continues to this day.
